The Disability Law Center of Utah is looking for people from rural areas of the state to serve on its Protection and Advocacy in Mental Illness (PAIMI) council. The Disability Law Center is a private non-profit organization. It is designated as the Protection and Advocacy Agency for the state of Utah to protect the rights of people with disabilities including mental illness. The PAIMI council currently has representatives from urban areas of the state and would like to have representation from rural areas as well. The council meets the 1st Wednesday of each month at the Salt Lake City office. This is a non-paid, volunteer position. However, expenses incurred to attend the meetings may be reimbursed.
